Having difficulty with land based exercises?
Just had surgery?
Hydrotherapy can be an intergral part in your rehabilitation process. The buoyant nature of water decreases the stress and load acting upon injured body parts. It helps painful joints and weak muscles to move freely and more efficiently, whilst also providing compression to minimize swelling after an injury or surgery.
Your therapist may recommend a hydrotherapy program for pain relief, to increase movement of a joint or to simply allow you to be more active with less pain.
The sessions are fully supervised by a physiotherapist or exercise physiologist, experienced in teaching hydrotherapy.
- Early return to exercise following surgery or injury
